SSST and its Department of Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) are organizing a series of Seminars of Excellence (SoE) on various topics related to the field of Political Science as part of our participation in PoSIG.
The second Seminar of Excellence (SoE2) is taking place on May 3-5 at SSST in the King Salman Auditorium (P11) at 12.00. It deals with diplomacy and international negotiations under the title of "Diplomatic Affairs and Protocol".
The lecturers are professor Maja Savić-Bojanić (Sarajevo School of Science and Technology) and professor Boštjan Udović (University in Ljubljana). They will presents some basics of diplomatic intercourse, some issues related to the structure of diplomacy, diplomatic law and ceremonial and provide materials for exercising diplomacy in practice (such as simulations, discussions). During the negotiations' lecture they will present the difference between the integrative and distributive negotiations and the approach of writing a good speech to start the negotiations effectively.
- Participation Fee
The seminar is free of charge for current SSST students and employees and for current students from the University of Sarajevo (UNSA).
Other participants are due to pay a participation fee in the amount of 20 KM per day, which is 60 KM in total for all three days, before the application deadline (April 27, 2017).

The participation fee includes certificates for participants who successfully complete the seminar by attending all three days.
