Mirna Dragaš, our student of Political Science and International Relations, won an international award for social entrepreneurship called the Social Impact Award (http://socialimpactaward.ba, https://socialimpactaward.net).
With a colleague Mirna designed Bosnia's first carpool app, intended mainly to solve congestion on the streets of Sarajevo and ease the air pollution within the city. The name of the app is KolaPopola (https://www.facebook.com/kpopola/) and the prototype is about to be released. Mirna states that the app is intended for those for whom the existing methods of transport prove to be quite challenging - parents with young children and strollers, tourists, pet owners and students.
The inspiration for the app came from everyday life challenges. Since SSST is located out of the city center and has many international students, this type of tool would make sharing rides easier and save quite a lot of time and money.
