EUMIG-BiH Opening Conference – December 11th, 2025

The University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) will host the Opening Conference of the Jean Monnet Module EUMIG-BiH: Migration, Integration and Governance in Bosnia and Herzegovina- EU Standards and Local Challenges, on December 11th, 2025, at the SSST campus in Ilidža.

The conference will begin at 11:00 AM in Room P13 with opening remarks by Professor Ejup Ganić, Chancellor of SSST, followed by Prof. Ružica Čubela Bajramović, the Coordinator of the EUMIG-BiH project. A panel discussion on EU integration and migration will follow, featuring representatives from the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Directorate for European Integration, World Vision, and BHWI.

As part of the program, attendees will have the opportunity to watch the performance “I Want to Live”, written and directed by Dubravka Zrnić-Kulenović and produced by Marijana Dinek. The performance is inspired by the experiences of refugee women and explores their resilience, talents, and stories, aiming to raise awareness about the challenges they face. Through artistic collaboration between refugee women and professional artists, the play promotes inclusion, understanding, and recognition of their contributions to society.

The event will conclude with an informal session, Coffee with Actors, offering participants a chance to continue the discussion in an open and interactive setting.

The Opening Conference marks the official launch of this three-year EU-funded Jean Monnet Module dedicated to strengthening academic dialogue, research, and public engagement on migration, governance, and EU integration in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
