It is official – the Memorandum of Understanding was signed yesterday between Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) and the consortium led by SSST and consisted of the Institute for Standardization of BiH (ISBIH), Institute of Metrology of BiH (IMBIH) of BiH and Bosnia and Herzegovina Medical and Biological Engineering Society (DMBIUBIH), to get behind one of the three digital hubs to be developed in BiH, powered by the European Union and the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The EU4DigitalSME project is aimed at creating an enabling environment for SMEs to successfully undertake digitalisation and innovation transformations. Besides addressing the digital transformation needs of SMEs, the project also involves actors at the macro level to improve the overall framework conditions for the promotion of innovations and digitalisation of SMEs.
The first activities to kickstart the project are scheduled next week, coordinated by GIZ. This global initiative comes in the line of many activities to digitalize economic processes and bring Bosnia-Herzegovina closer to EU standards of successful business and competencies.
