SSST Faculty Lead National Dialogue on Healthcare Reform and Innovation
The University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) proudly recognizes the participation of its distinguished faculty members at the AmCham Conference “Healthcare as an Investment 2025”, contributing to high-level discussions on sustainable healthcare financing, system reform, and innovation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In line with SSST’s mission, the Faculty of Sarajevo Medical School provided expert insights and practical solutions, educating and inspiring future doctors and pharmacists to combine clinical excellence with social responsibility:
- Prof. Alen Pilav, General Director of the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, emphasized strengthening primary and secondary healthcare to enhance system sustainability, improve patient access, and optimize clinical resources.
- Prof. Rasim Jusufović, MD, PhD, Dean of Sarajevo Medical School and Chairman of the Board at ASA Hospital, shared insights from implementing public-private partnerships, highlighting their impact on relieving pressure on the public health system, reducing waiting times, and generating local economic benefits.
- Prof. Tarik Catić, PhD, Pharm, underlined the need to educate professionals who understand the full lifecycle of medicine development and application, ensuring equitable and timely access to innovative therapies.
- Vedad Tabaković, MSc, concluded that coordinated strategic planning and system-wide cooperation are essential for creating a fair, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare system.
