From SSST to Imperial College London: Una Karabeg, Chevening Scholar

A proud journey from Sarajevo to one of the world’s top universities, where SSST alumni continue to make a global impact.

Una Karabeg, alumna of the Economics and Business program at SSST, is currently pursuing her master’s degree in London as a Chevening Scholar.

As a recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship – the UK government’s fully funded program for international students, with a global acceptance rate of only 2% – Una is developing her start-up idea through the MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management program at Imperial Business School, Imperial College London, ranked #2 globally and #1 in the UK and Europe by QS World University Rankings.

As a Chevener from the Western Balkans, Una had the honor of meeting His Majesty The King at the Royal Reception at St James’s Palace, ahead of the Western Balkans Summit in London this year.

Una emphasizes how her studies at SSST equipped her with all the essential skills to succeed in her master’s in London – from academic knowledge to understanding the UK education system.

“Leading the Entrepreneurship Club and developing start-up ideas at SSST shaped my professional journey. Now, I’m excited to build on this foundation in London, develop my start-up, and launch a socially responsible marketing enterprise upon my return to Bosnia and Herzegovina,” added Una.
