SSST Winter Academy Kicks Off: Over 200 High School Students Exploring University Life

The Winter Academy at the University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) has brought together over 200 high school students from across Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Ilidža campus

During the five-day program, participants have the opportunity to experience university life firsthand, meet SSST professors and students, and take part in interactive, hands-on workshops in the fields of their choice.

This year’s Winter Academy offers workshops in the following areas: Computer Science, Economics and Business, International Relations and Diplomacy, Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. The program is designed to help students make informed decisions about their future studies while gaining new knowledge, skills, and valuable experiences.

A key feature of the Winter Academy is that participation is completely free, underscoring SSST’s commitment to equal educational opportunities and support for young people. All participants will receive a certificate of participation, while top performers will have the chance to earn scholarships for continued studies at SSST.

A new element this year is the inclusion of parents through online information sessions held over the coming days, aimed at providing further insight into SSST’s study programs, academic environment, and opportunities.

For years, the Winter Academy has been a hallmark program of SSST, designed to help students take their first step toward academic and professional growth.
