We are pleased to announce that University SSST is part of the DELTA Project (Advancing Data Literacy and Innovation in the Western Balkans), an Erasmus+ CBHE Strand 2 initiative coordinated by Universiteti Europian i Tiranës - UET.
This ambitious project, with a consortium of 14 partners from the Western Balkans and the European Union, aims to foster a culture of knowledge exchange and drive innovation in multidisciplinary teaching and learning.
A key focus of the project is to enhance data literacy skills, equipping individuals with the necessary competencies for integration into the EU economy and labor market. By developing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, DELTA seeks to bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that educational institutions align with market needs. Furthermore, the project promotes stronger collaboration and knowledge exchange among higher education institutions across the Western Balkans and the EU, fostering a more connected and progressive academic environment.
The kickoff meeting, held on January 22-23, 2025, at EUT in Tirana, Albania, marked the official launch of the project. The agenda included discussions on project management strategies, intrapreneurship in academia, capacity-building initiatives, dissemination plans, and quality assurance measures. Key topics also covered modernizing teaching practices and leveraging technology to foster innovation.
Representing University SSST, Dr. Belma Ramić-Brkić, Dean of Computer Science and Project Manager, and Mersiha Muranović from SSST’s Office for Research and Project Administration, took part in key discussions on capacity-building, innovative teaching, and the role of technology in education.
University SSST is proud to contribute to this important initiative, which aligns with our commitment to advancing education and research. We look forward to the collaborative efforts ahead and invite you to stay updated on project activities as we work together to drive positive change.
