Sarajevo Hosts 2nd Multiplier Event of the HomoDigitalis Project

June 12–14, 2025 – Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina The University of Sarajevo hosted the second Multiplier Event of the ERASMUS+ HomoDigitalis project, bringing together stakeholders from higher education, civil society, and the private sector to showcase and exchange best practices in digital transformation, educational media, and digital humanities.

Held at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies “Zdravko Grebo”, the two-day event featured a dynamic program designed to disseminate key project results and foster dialogue on the evolving landscape of digital education in the Western Balkans.


The event opened on June 12 with welcome remarks by UNSA’s Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović, followed by presentations of the HomoDigitalis project’s major achievements. Highlights included the integration of digital skills into university curricula, the establishment of Digital Humanities and Educational Media Laboratories, and the introduction of several impactful Erasmus+ initiatives like MAGNET and DERHE.


Participants engaged in interactive discussions on improving teaching practices in higher education, followed by a campus tour showcasing the newly developed HomoDigitalis Lab. The day concluded with a networking dinner at Nova Bembaša, a local cultural and culinary landmark.


Day two focused on MOOC development and implementation, with presentations from project partners across the Western Balkans and EU, including LOGOS, POLIS, IBCM, AAB, SEEU, UNSA, and SSST, represented by Prof. Maja Savić-Bojanić and Prof. Emir Hadžikadunić.


A highlight was the joint presentation by Prof. Dr. Selma Rizvić and Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Dušanka Bošković, emphasizing the transformative role of MOOCs in regional academic cooperation. The day concluded with a collaborative planning session to draft future actions and ensure the sustainability of project outcomes.
The final day offered participants a cultural excursion, fostering informal exchange and strengthening regional and European cooperation networks.
The Sarajevo Multiplier Event successfully bridged academic innovation and regional engagement, reinforcing the Hom Digitalis mission to enhance digital readiness in higher education across the Western Balkans.
