In continuation of the collaboration established last year, the Department of Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) of the SSST University is welcoming another two students from Stanford University (USA) to work on research projects.
Marina Patricia Kalliga and Kalisa Stone Bailey, students of International Relations at Stanford University, will be working on two projects this summer with Professor Sabina Čehajic-Clancy, Dean of the PSIR Department. One of the projects is research on intergroup reconciliation as an emotion regulation process. This is the project that Professor Čehajić-Clancy has been working on with the Psychology Department of Stanford University since 2014. The other project is an investigation of the education sector in post-conflict societies.
This collaboration was initiated by the Stanford Global Studies Division and Professor Čehajic-Clancy during her stay at Stanford University as a Fulbright Visiting Professor. She conducted research on the relationship between positive emotions and social identity, together with Professor James Gross at his laboratory at the Psychology Department at Stanford University
SSST prides itself on such collaborations and friendships, especially those with strong international partners. They are seen as extraordinary opportunities both for the faculty and students, and are therefore strongly encouraged and welcome.
