The Center for Diaspora was founded by the University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) as a nucleus of gathering individual projects and research SSST staff has been working on over the years under the common subject matter of diaspora.
The Center covers wide range of activities that primarily focus on the academia and education:
- Research projects
- Organization of events such as workshops, web conferences, seminars and discussions
- Networking
- Promotion of books, research results, etc.
- SSST Alumni in diaspora
- Educational Hub:
* Summer/Winter Academy
* Organized group/individual visits
* Annual Conference for Teachers in Secondary Education – ACTS at Gymnasium SSST
* Annual Mediterranean Forum Sarajevo-Dubrovnik Constellation
* Promotion of SSST programs for admission of students from diaspora
* Student and academic exchange programmes
* Diaspora Volunteerism in BiH
* Bosnian Language courses
