Students from SSST Sarajevo Medical School have attended one of the biggest international (bio) medical congresses in the world, the International Student Congress of (Bio) Medical Sciences - ISCOMS 2018. With the University's support, they were able to go to Groningen, Netherlands and participate in different activities, which was a truly great experience for them. The activities included poster sessions, workshops, and keynote lectures. Students were also able to explore the UMCG - University Medical Center Groningen, in which they got the chance to learn about high-end discoveries on cancer research, integration of nowaday's technology with clinical practice, as well as to practice various invasive clinical procedures, namely micro- and macrosuturing, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), biopsies and diagnoses and many others. It was a great opportunity to establish cooperation with many medical students worldwide, from UK and countries form South and North America, Asia etc. They were also invited to participate at other medical student congresses, such as the famous congress in Dublin (Ireland) and Leiden (Netherlands). We are very proud of the fact that our knowledge acquired at the SSST University can measure up to the best European and world standards in education. To conclude, this was a very big step forward for our medical students as representatives of the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology have established a strong cooperation with a respectable Medical School of the University of Groningen.
