About USMLE® Step 1
United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE®) Step 1 assesses examinee's ability to apply medical knowledge and patient-centered skills. USMLE® Step 1 is the first of three exams that must be successfully passed by any examinee wishing to obtain licence to practice Medicine in the US.
Students are eligible to take USMLE® Step 1 after completing 2nd year of Medical school.
Why take Preparatory course?
The obtained score is an important determinant of future medical residency in the US.
The number of times the examinee can take the same test is limited.
Current average passing score of students from Bosnia and Herzegovina is 42.9% compared to 78.1% ->90% for all international and US graduates.*

About SSST
Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) is the first University in Bosnia and Herzegovina to incorporate Preparatory course for students aspiring to get medical license in the US into its medical curriculum, providing skills and knowledge needed to pursue residency in the US. SSST provides you with a range of flexible course study options that will suit your needs whether you are looking for comprehensive review or only need help in certain study areas. That's why we offer a range of flexible study options, including full and partial participation.
Timing and venue
The three part, 115-hour course will be held in three modules: 22-25.2.2019, 18-21.4.2019, and 28.6 -1.7.2019 at University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology, Hrasnička cesta 3a, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Module 1 will be held from 22-25.2.2019 and will comprise Physiology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology.

The course is free of charge for students of Sarajevo Medical School. Registration fee for medical doctors is as follows:
Full participation: 5400 KM
