We are happy to share that SSST Computer Science PhD student Enes Hatibovic participated at EGU General Assembly 2019 Conference held in Vienna, Austria 8-13 April 2019. The EGU General Assembly is a prominent annual event that brings together geoscientist from all over the world into one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space science. The main aim of the EGU is to provide a forum where scientist, especially early career researchers can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in fields of geoscience. Enes presented his work “Analysis of river flow changes of Bosna river, Bosnia and Herzegovina using remotely sensed and hydrometeorology data” done under supervision of his mentor Ajla Kulaglic.
This year, the EGU General Assembly 2018 had a tremendous success with 4,776 oral presentations, 11,128 poster presentations, and 1,419 PICO presentations of 15,075 scientists from 106 countries participated, out of which 53% were under the age of 35.
We can proudly say that Enes and the SSST University were the only participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina in such a large and important conference.
