University SSST’s Sarajevo Medical School had an exciting opportunity to host a world-renowned mental health consultant, dr. Matthijs van Middelkoop, who is an expert of forensic psychiatry. This branch of behavioral insight has become very popular in mainstream culture, but not often do medical students have the chance to hear on accountability, prevalence of main illnesses and their risk factors for committing an violent crime, risk assessment and management, as well as specific treatment programmes. The students were excited to pose questions and hear about many case studies taken from the vast professional career of Dr. van Middelkoop.
