Due to the overall situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, and recent worsening of the epidemiologic situation, Sarajevo Medical School students have been prevented to take their hands-on lessons at the hospitals and clinical centers. For the students to keep up with their academic pace, we have organized for hands-on lessons to be held at the University SSST. For this purpose, students had their stitching lessons on cushions imitating soft tissue. A plastic surgeon, Dr. Goran Obradovic, and neurosurgeon, Dr. Adi Ahmetspahic have been there to provide help and assistance to our students. They have also handled instruments used for surgeries.
Practical lessons have been held in a small group of students, with all safety measures ensured. We are extremely happy that our students have not been denied the opportunity to practice their hands-on skills and proud of their efforts and hard work during online classes!
