As part of the traditional Winter Academy and with the support of the companies BH Telecom and Mistral, the University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) is organizing the Smart Community Challenge Hackaton for high school students from across Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year's Hackaton will last three days, and all participants of the Winter academy will have the opportunity to get acquainted with BH TechLab, the most popular platform in Bosnia and Herzegovina made to support ICT startup ideas, which was created and is supported by the socially responsible local telecommunications company, BH Telecom.
In addition to providing an educational and a competitive aspect, this event being held at the SSST campus also aims to connect ambitious young people in a stimulating environment, to give them an opportunity to work together in order to create positive changes for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the IT market.
Along with the aim of finding solutions for the problems of their local communities, this year young people will have the opportunity to offer their innovations – digital solutions that can be very helpful to their communities.
High school students will be divided into teams of five members each, with the task of presenting their proposed solutions.
Jury members will announce the most successful solutions at the very end of the competition and the winners will be awarded scholarships at the University SSST, as well as a gift of tablets and phones that will be provided by BH Telecom.
