The Roundtable on Greening Business in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Early Lessons took place at SSST University on March 25th 2024.
This event held particular significance as it marked the inauguration of the SME Green Room, providing a platform for experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro to converge and share insights.
Divided into two panels, discussions centered on the challenges associated with the green transition. The first panel explored the nuanced perceptions of this transition, addressing its dual nature as both a challenge and an opportunity. The second panel delved into strategies for supporting and fostering the growth of emerging green entrepreneurs in the region.
Towards the event's conclusion, attendees were treated to a presentation highlighting three innovative greening pilots supported by GAIA. Among them, Bazerdžan's unveiling of its new upcycled line, Fashion Made Sustainably in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stood out as a testament to the project's impact.
The GAIA project receives support from the EU and German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through the "Innovations and Digitalization of SMEs in BiH/EU4DigitalSME" initiative.
