RESEARCH INTEREST

  • I have spent eleven years working for ICMP (International Commission on Missing Persons),as a DNA Analyst within Forensic Laboratory Division working primarily isolating and analyzing of challenge biological material, reference and problematic bone samples.
  • I possess wide range of interest in Medicine starting from Forensic genetics, Human genetics, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Hematology, and Immunology.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • My career started with my Medical background working in Microbiological laboratory in Clinical Center Koševo, Sarajevo after which I moved to work for International organization CRS, SKF, and ICMP where I have gained valuable experience.
  • Eleven years I have spent working for ICMP (International Commission on Missing Persons), as a DNA Analyst within Forensic Laboratory Division working primarily isolating and analyzing of challenge biological material, reference and problematic bone samples.
  • I have successfully participated in external test, research, and development.
  • I possess variety of knowledge and skills working with different environment as well as professional commitment to improve and grow.
  • I was involved in the external proficiency tests provided by German DNA Profiling (GEDNAP) and in Interlaboratory Comparison Relationship Testing Workshops organized by International Society for Forensic Genetics (ISFG), English Speaking Working Group (ESWG).
  • The German DNA profiling group blind trial system, referees as GEDNAP, was establishes in 1989 and originally set up as the German speaking working group of the European DNA profiling group.
  • I performed the role of trainer, assessor and coach, providing training on QIAmp DNA Micro Kit DNA Extraction and Analysis, Genotyping and Submission of DNA Profiles.
  • Right know I am obtaining position of Senior Teaching Assistant (Med. Biology, Med. Genetics and Immunology), and I am involved in teaching as Professor in Gymnasium SSST, Sarajevo.
