Nermin Oruč

Nermin Oruč holds a PhD degree in Economics from Staffordshire University. He is founder and Director at the Centre for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research. He is also Coordinator of the Western Balkans Migration Network (WB-MIGNET) and leader of the national team for BiHMOD, a micro-simulation model for tax and benefits policies in BiH, based on EUROMOD. Nermin has eight years of teaching experience and more than 15 years of research experience. He completed more than 70 national and regional research and consultancy projects, acting as a team leader on a majority of these projects. His research interests include labour market analysis, social policy analysis, education and migration. Oruč was also a consultant on many projects with the World Bank, EU Commission, IOM, UNDP, and other organisations. Nermin co-authored three books and published a number of papers in the international peer-reviewed journal, and is also a member of editorial boards of several international academic journals. Oruč was visiting fellow at the CERGE-EI, Prague and ISER/University of Essex. He is currently Visiting Atlantic Fellow at the International Inequalities Institute, LSE, London.
